Parklex FacadeParklex Facade is an exterior grade wood composite panel: Natural laminated wood panel, standard one sided, (front face only), Ayous or Boak wood coated with phenolic resin and UV resistive polymer film; inner core paper fibers treated with thermo-hardened resins (bakelized core), balancing layer on back face not designed for exposure to the elements). Two sided panel can be specially ordered.
It creates a new, innovative architectural solution that allows for a panel finish for external (bakelised) and interior use. This panel requires to be installed using the Ventilated Facade Method (rainscreen technique) providing a continuous (unobstructed) minimum 1" ventilated airspace. The panels are fastened onto verticle metal or timber batten sub-structure, providing a decorative finish that also acts as a rain screen. Parklex Facade is made from natural wood veneers, allowing natural variations in color and grain. The Parklex Facade panel though pre-finished with a thermally hardened finish and UV polymer film, due to the panel being composed of wood & other natural materials its appearance can change over time.
